Associate Office of Lee M. Perlman
Heidi graduated from Adelphi University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in English and Psychology. She went on to receive her JD from Rutgers Law School in 1994. While attending Rutgers, Heidi discovered her passion for consumer law, and during that time she participated in the Rutgers University Elder Law Project, was a law clerk with Camden Community Outreach, and helped launch the Rutgers University Bankruptcy Pro Bono Project. Upon graduating from Rutgers, Heidi was the recipient of the Pro Bono Publico Award which recognizes law students and legal professionals for their commitment to providing volunteer legal services for the poor and disadvantaged.
Since obtaining her law degree, Heidi has focused her career exclusively on bankruptcy, mortgage foreclosure, and consumer law. She has represented both consumers and creditors, which enables her to have a uniquely well rounded perspective on consumer financial issues. Heidi understands that financial difficulties can often be overwhelming, and she is committed to empowering people by helping them take control of their financial situation. With that goal in mind, Heidi now dedicates her practice to consumer bankruptcy and consumer rights litigation.
